ASEA Power Systems is a world leader in the design and fabrication of power conversion equipment specially designed for the marine market. Our products range in power from 8 – 1000+ kVA and come in both air and liquid cooled variations. This diverse range includes shore power converters, dock boost transformers, dock locker converters, isolation transformers, clean grid converters, and even custom-engineered solutions.
Magnus Marine designs products to individual specifications, so every product is unique. We configure our systems around the yacht, rather than the other way around. We always demand the highest standards from our specialist trained staff and suppliers and we have developed strategic partnerships with the world’s best manufacturers to ensure that our systems are efficient, reliable, and built to last.

ASEA shore power converters provide clean power regardless of shifts in input voltage issues, voltage surges and frequency shifts. Before installing their shore power converter, the Caipirinha remained docked for three years, relying on one of its three 330 kW generators that ran 24/7, totaling 8,500 hours per year and consuming an average of 1,200 liters of fuel daily. Assuming a typical mega-yacht such as Caipirinha spends an average of 6,000 hours docked, installing a 330 kVA ASEA shore power converter reduced generator usage by around 70 percent. This translates to approximately $306,000 in fuel savings per year. The absence of running generators created a quieter, cleaner, and more relaxing environment for guests and crew alike.
