Teak sourced from Indian forests, certified as FSC Controlled Wood. The FSC Controlled Wood certification provides assurance by ensuring compliance with a set of minimum requirements established by the Forest Stewardship Council.
There are five categories of unacceptable material that cannot be mixed with FSC-certified material:
Wood harvested illegally; in violation of traditional and civil rights; from forests where high conservation values are threatened by management activities; in forests being converted to plantations or non-forest use; from forests where genetically modified trees are used.
