At Baltic Yachts, energy efficiency is an integral part of our offering and a key driver in our design philosophy. While each yacht is uniquely tailored to the client’s vision, we consistently promote and evolve solutions that reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. Drawing on operational data and experience—beginning with electric propulsion introduced on Canova in 2019—we continuously refine these technologies to deliver improved performance and reduced emissions.
Electric propulsion with hydrogeneration is one such solution—allowing batteries to recharge while sailing, reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Intelligent generator management ensures diesel units operate at optimal load, improving fuel efficiency and lowering emissions. Waste heat from air conditioning is repurposed to heat water, and climate control adjusts temperatures based on occupancy and time of day, minimizing unnecessary energy use.
Lighting and pump systems are automated and frequency-controlled, reducing energy loss and mechanical wear. Our holistic engineering approach shows that meaningful reductions in emissions and fuel use are achievable through thoughtful design and system-wide efficiency.
