Tai Ping’s Biophilic Program is a pioneering collection of luxury rugs made exclusively from natural, undyed fibres—offering a high-performance, low-impact alternative to dyed materials and synthetics. Developed in line with circular design principles, the program eliminates the dyeing process, reducing water use by 60% and energy by 85%, significantly lowering carbon emissions. Rugs are crafted from biodegradable, responsibly sourced fibres such as wool, silk, flax, and jute, with natural colour variation replacing chemical pigments. A custom-developed natural latex backing meets FAA and IMO fire safety standards without off-gassing, ensuring suitability for enclosed marine and private aviation environments. Wool retains its natural lanolin, enhancing stain resistance and longevity. By uniting ecological integrity with artisanal excellence, the Biophilic Program showcases Tai Ping’s commitment to responsible material innovation—championing natural alternatives to synthetics which cause microplastic pollution, in full alignment with the Blue Wake mission to advance sustainability in yachting.
