A 42-metre explorer, 440 tonnes, Ice Class, with a range of 8.900 nautical miles, and a level of fuel consumption that challenges every logic in the sector. The results come from an unprecedented design synergy, but the real breakthrough lies in the way Amer designed the yacht to adopt Volvo Penta's propulsion system, consisting of two new IPS40 pods powered by four D13 engines compliant with IMO Tier III standards, with twin forward-facing counter-rotating propellers, delivering up to 30% fuel savings compared with traditional inboard shaft installation. The propulsion system allows for a drastic reduction of noise, vibration and acoustic pollution. The Amer 42 Explorer “Even Further” is not just a name, but a statement of intent: to go further, consumer less and have a lower impact.
