In 2024, Versilia Supply Service initiated a structured path toward environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Key initiatives include self-produced energy through a photovoltaic system and the use of low-emission vehicles (68% of the fleet is Euro 6 or higher), resulting in a reduction of 12.9 tons of CO₂. The company also implemented circular economy practices, carefully selecting suppliers and using recyclable or compostable packaging materials, partly made from post-consumer waste. To fight food waste, VSS joined the Too Good To Go platform. A new partnership with DHL Express, using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), will reduce air shipment emissions by 30% by 2026. On the social front, the company invests in workforce stabilization (87% on permanent contracts), continuous training, and safety, achieving zero workplace accidents in 2024. VSS integrates these goals into its corporate strategy in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, actively contributing to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
