mtu S4000M05 Flex SCR
Efficient. Flexible. Future-proof – The new SCR system for the highest demands.
Our innovative SCR system reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 85% depending on the operating point compared to IMOII engines – a decisive contribution to compliance with strict emissions regulations. Its modular concept allows it to be flexibly adapted to almost any installation situation – even in smaller engine rooms. The reactor can be rotated in any direction as well as the mixer (except dosing upwards). Thanks to the two different sets of rubber mounts for the reactor, the connection points with the ship are variable as well.
Thanks to its intelligent design, the system weight could be reduced by 40% compared to the previous system, helping to improve fuel consumption and therefore CO2 emissions – a plus for efficiency and the environment. Additionally, the small and flexible design simplifies retrofitting the SCR system in already built ships with 16V4000M65L engines (without engine replacement).
At the same time, catalyst change intervals are extended by up to 30%, significantly reducing maintenance and operating costs while saving resources.
