Secur Solar Shield is an advanced glazing solution that reduce environmental impact through efficient solar control and lightweight innovation. By significantly cutting solar load radiation, it lowers interior heat gain and decrease reliance on air conditioning, improves energy efficiency and help reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Performance can be demonstrated by comparing solar radiation power (W/m²) in conventional glazing with that of Secur Solar Shield, targeting a 50% reduction in solar load.
Its lightweight yet high-strength composition not only enhances structural performance but also contributes to overall vessel weight reduction, leading to further fuel savings. The product is designed in line with resource efficiency principles and meets class and flag standards.
No adverse environmental effects have been identified in its current form. Secur Solar Shield is protected by a granted Eurasian patent, with applications filed for the USA and EU jurisdictions, both expected to be granted within this year.
This forward-thinking innovation empowers yacht builders and designers to meet rising sustainability demands without compromising on performance or quality.
