Blue Wake Certification
Shipyard Ship builder

S05 (), JS16 () (APPONTEMENT JULES SOCCAL)

Founded on a legacy of shipbuilding that spans generations, ARES Yachts is the superyacht division of the renowned ARES Shipyard. Originally established in 2006 with a focus on luxury yachts, the shipyard swiftly adapted to changing global demands by expanding into naval and commercial craft by 2008—an evolution that cemented ARES’s status as a leading name in maritime excellence.

In 2023, the shipyard’s long-held ambition to return to its roots in luxury yachting was realized with the official launch of ARES Yachts. This division is dedicated exclusively to the design and construction of semi-custom and full-custom superyachts, alongside the shipyard’s SPITFIRE and ATLAS lines, blending proven engineering with refined craftsmanship.

Positioned to become a prominent force in the Turkish and global superyacht industries, ARES Yachts offers a series of design lines that reflect its core values: elegance, performance, and timeless design. Backed by the shipyard’s extensive infrastructure and proven track record, ARES Yachts delivers vessels that embody both heritage and forward-thinking innovation.

At ARES Yachts, every project is a commitment to crafting eternal moments on the water.

SIMENA: Rethinking Propulsion

SIMENA is a 62-metre luxury performance cruising ketch that combines traditional wind-powered sailing with parallel hybrid propulsion to reduce environmental impact while maintaining unrestricted global cruising capability. The propulsion system integrates a MAN diesel engine, a 220 kW electric motor and a Servogear Ecoflow controllable-pitch propeller, offering six operating modes to maximise efficiency in every phase of a voyage. Depending on operational requirements, the yacht can operate under diesel power, electric propulsion, combined propulsion and power generation, or recover energy through Hydro Generator Mode, where the rotating propeller generates electricity while sailing. In Pure Sailing Mode, both the diesel engine and electric motor remain inactive while the feathering propeller minimises drag, allowing the yacht to navigate solely under wind power with virtually no propulsion-related emissions. Combined with intelligent power management and a fail-safe control system, SIMENA demonstrates how renewable energy, hybrid technology and efficient engineering can work together to reduce fuel consumption, lower emissions and advance more sustainable large yacht operations.
