Step into the world of the MYS for an exclusive experience and discover the yacht that will elevate your destination into an unforgettable adventure.

The MYS has entrusted the editors of Boat International with selecting their 6 most inspiring yachting destinations of the moment for those in search of new horizons.

South America
From the rugged rainforest peaks of Costa Rica to the frosty peaks of Chilean Patagonia, South America has plenty to explore.

If you’re looking to tick off items from your bucket list, then an adrenaline-fueled charter round Cape Horn awaits. It’s unpredictable winds and challenging sea states make this an iconic route for the decerning seafarer.

But if you’re on the hunt for more tropical climbs, then the Galapagos should be high up on your hitlist. Isolated 500 miles west of Ecuador, the islands are the world’s foremost destination for wildlife encounters.

Torres del Paine in Patagonia

Norway
Few places on earth could provide such a dramatic environment for superyacht exploration than the Norwegian Fjords. Gargantuan glaciers, verdant mountains and ferocious waterfalls are strewn throughout the meandering network of waterways.

Alongside its spectacular landscape, the undisturbed, and often well protected fjords are home to an array of thriving wildlife, and you’ll spot puffins, harbour seals, sperm whales and orcas.

Small towns and hamlets are sprinkled around the Fjords and make excellent bases for land-based pursuits such as cycling, hiking, or simply testing out Norway’s sublime cuisine. Be sure to test out the country’s Brunost, (brown cheese), while stopping off on shore, or sample the local herbal spirit, Aquavit.

Fiji
With 333 islands, Fiji is a true tropical paradise. Upon discovering the region, you’ll stumble upon secluded beaches, pristine jungles, coral reefs teeming with marine life and volcanic hot springs.

With the islands scattered in a horseshoe configuration there is an abundance of activities on offer including swimming with manta rays off Naviti Island, snorkelling in blue lagoons and kayaking off the beautiful islands of Navadra and Vanua.

On shore the islands’ rugged landscapes and verdant hills are ripe for exploration or you can opt for an authentic island experience and swap a night on board for a traditional thatched Bure.

Caribbean
The Caribbean may be one of the world’s most popular cruising destinations but that doesn’t mean there is a lack of adventure available. With over 700 tropical islands to explore, you don’t always have to stick to the well-trodden paths in the region.

For those in pursuit of solitude, cruising up the Lesser Antilles around the Winward Islands should be high up on your list. While navigating this volcanic arc of islands, you can hike to the top of one of the Pitons of Saint Lucia and stop off at the Tobago Cays Marine Park to jump in the water with green turtles.

Saint Martin, Dutch Antilles

Seychelles
Offering 115 sparkling islands to explore, the Seychelles archipelago is a tropical paradise that is just waiting to be discovered by superyacht.

Presenting extraordinary opportunities for snorkelling, diving, and fishing, you may think that the Seychelles is overrun with superyachts, but it’s pristine atolls and secluded bays remain free from flotillas and crowds.

Cruising in the region you can visit local island communities, snorkel in thriving reeds such as in the bay Anse à la Mouche and meet the giant tortoises that reside on Curieuse or at Anse Lazio.

New Zealand
With more than 15,000km of coastline, varying from sheltered bays to stunning fjords, New Zealand has something for everyone.

The North Island is home to the Auckland, nick-named the City of Sails, which offers direct access to the sand beaches and hiking trials of the Hauraki Gulf.

Heading further north is the popular cruising area of the Bay of Islands, where there are 144 undeveloped islands to explore and marine life including penguins, marlin, and dolphins. The South Island is home to the main wine growing region of Marlborough, while adrenalin junkies can head further south to the snow-capped Fiordland.
