Van Cleef & Arpels began from a love story when Estelle Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef married, bringing beauty, charm, talent and elegance together. A dynasty of jewellers was born.
A hundred years later the House embodies design
in high jewellery.
Van Cleef & Arpels creates the most inventive
jewels combining femininity, glamour and gracefulness
- always associated with exceptional stones and an
unchallenged craftsmanship.
In 1955, Prince Rainier of Monaco got engaged to
the actress Grace Kelly and bought a beautiful set
of pearls and diamonds from Van Cleef & Arpels,
becoming then the Official Jeweller to the Monaco
Principality. On her daughter Caroline’s wedding
day, Princess Grace wore the marvellous tiara from
the Van Cleef & Arpels workshops.
Thanks to its close relationship with Monaco, Van
Cleef & Arpels naturally sponsors the Monaco
Yacht Show.
