The motor yacht Sea Force
One was awarded the 2008 Green Star sustainable
development trophy at the 18th Monaco Yacht Show.
RINA and the Monaco Yacht Show singled out Sea
Force One as the most ecological yacht at the 18th
edition of the MYS.
H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco reiterated
his encouragements for such initiatives in preserving
the environment then presented the trophy to the
yacht's owner in the presence of Luc Pettavino,
Administrator Delegate of the MYS, and Ugo Salerno,
Administrator Delegate of RINA S.p.A.
Sea Force One, delivered in 2008, is the first
54-metre motor yacht built by the Italian shipyard
AMY founded in 2005 by the partnership between
the Admiral shipyards and Mariotti (AMY: Admiral
Mariotti Yacht).
The yacht was built in accordance with strict
environmental norms that include the installation
of systems for preventing pollution by waste waters
and oils, and the treatment of paintwork.
For the second year in succession the Italian
company RINA S.p.A. and the Monaco Yacht Show's
organisers teamed up to recompense the show's most
ecological yacht.
This collaboration highlights the MYS's strong
commitment to preserving the environment; since
2005 the show has been certified Carbon Neutral® thanks
to its contribution to international ecological
projects.
