Every year at the beginning of fall, the Monaco
Yacht Show makes the heart of Monaco beat to the
rhythm of the open sea by harboring in-water and
alongside Port Hercules, the very best of today’s
ocean jewels.
A reference event in the shipping world, entailing
many positive repercussions on the economy and image
of Principality, this boat show, which combines the
prestige of Monaco and its legendary harbor with
the splendor of the newest creations in yachting,
brings together during four days, the main actors
of the international yachting sector, to great delight
of both professionals and amateur enthusiasts.
In this unique decorum in which visitors and strollers
mingle with a cosmopolitan and most exclusive clientele,
the most beautiful yachts, similar to art monuments
in their technological achievement and sophistication
of form and design, display their many wonders for
everyone to watch and appear to call a vibrant invitation
to voyage.
“Free man, you will always cherish the sea”,
Baudelaire wrote. There is no questioning why this
exhibition exerts such an immense power of attraction
since its creation and has become, in less than twenty
years and thanks to the energy and know-how of its
organizers, a big time event in Monaco life and the
place to be for yacht lovers and specialists all
over the world.
There will be a magic and excitement as always
on this 17 th edition, which confirms the show’s
positioning at the leading edge of exclusivity and
innovation and promises to everyone, its share of
wonderful surprises and unforgettable encounters.
I would like to pay tribute to the professionalism
and excellence of the women and men who, around Luc
Pettavino, work with great passion and enthusiasm
in building and reinventing year after year, the
exceptional show, that’s stands as a symbol
of the dynamism of the Principality and of its radiance
beyond the seas and the borders.
I wish them all, from the bottom of my heart, a great
success again this year.
