For 27 years now the world superyachting community has gathered for four days on the quays of the Port Hercules to visit yachts, discover the latest market trends and promote business and public relations within the show and in Monaco's top hotels.

Four months before the event (27-30th September), the Monaco Yacht Show is already sending strong signals to industrial decision-makers and private clients about this eagerly-awaited event: 87% of exhibiting companies have renewed their participation and about forty superyachts delivered in 2017 have been registered and will make their debuts in Monaco among the 125 vessels presented on the water.

Informa Exhibitions acquires Major US Yacht Shows

Transaction brings together two of the most prestigious brands in global yacht shows: Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and Monaco Yacht Show.

Informa’s Global Exhibitions division today announced the purchase of Yachting Promotions Inc. (“YPI”), the operator of some of the largest yachting and boat shows in the US, for $133 million. The acquisition brings three of the world's largest in-water boat shows – the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, Yachts Miami Beach and the Palm Beach International Boat Show – into the Informa Exhibitions portfolio along with the St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show and Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota.

This year the 26th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show attracted 33,800 private owners, future buyers of yachts and high-level professionals active in the yachting market.

Stable attendance over the last few editions reflects the existence of a well-established international yachting community which meets every year in Monaco to discover the new yachts on offer, develop business relationships, unveil new products and services or present forthcoming yacht launches. The hundred or so private and press events organized by exhibitors on board the yachts, in their booths or in the hotels of the Principality bore witness to this activity.
